Happy New Year to you all and hope you had a great holiday! We're on a short break from the road but also preparing for an important spring season for the band. We went to Japan in December where, over the course of 3 nights, we managed to record a live cd with all new music! "Live in Kyoto" is now a reality and will be released on our US Tour in late February with a website and store release at a later date. We had an incredible couple of weeks in Japan between great gigs, eating, sightseeing and meeting great people but our 3 nights in the iconic Taku Taku venue in Kyoto, with its rich musical history, were very special indeed. We can't wait for you to hear our new cd!


After Japan, we went to the US and did a 10 tour of the northeastern States with our great friend Dave Curley. 8 of 9 gigs sold out and we're really enjoying this now annual Winter Solstice tour.

Next up is a home gig at The National Stadium in Dublin where we'll play with and celebrate the 80th birthday of legendary Ralph McTell, writer of "Streets Of London" and "From Clare to Here". The bill also includes another folk legend Tom Paxton, Camille O'Sullivan and Declan O'Rourke. This is on Jan 26th.

February then sees us return to the USA and a 30 gig tour across 15 states. Many gigs have been added or put on sale since our last newsletter so please have a look below and pass on the word. We have the amazing singer Daoiri Farrell back on board for the first 10 days and we have a couple of big Midwest shows midtour. In Minneapolis, we're playing the "Irish Reign" mini-festival night with Daoiri and the great Co.Offaly band Jigjam at the historic downtown Pantages Theatre. In Chicago and Milwaukee, we'll have Daoiri and both our great fiddlers Sean Smyth and Colin Farrell so sparks will fly!
