Lúnasa April 2023 Newsletter
Hello all! We’re just enjoying a bit of time off this month after our longest North American tour ever. We had an amazing time, and thanks to all of you who came out and supported us. The attendances were better than ever and it was great to see a return to full houses all over Canada and the US. Daoiri Farrell made a few guest appearances, brought the house down everywhere he sang and we’re already have plans in place for Daoiri doing some touring with us in March 2024.
We all turn our attention now to our May Irish tour which runs into 2 nights at the Hammersmith Irish Center in London! We haven’t played in Ireland or England in many years now so we’re all really looking forward to this. Many of our favourite places in Ireland on this trip - Dungarvan, Galway, Belfast and one of the coolest festivals in Ireland - the Fiddle Fair in Baltimore, Co.Cork. We’ve been working up lots of new tunes and have big plans for a new album later in the year!
Our summer season is starting to take shape too with Germany, Ireland, France, Switzerland and the US on the calendar. At the prestigious Schleswig-Holstein festival in Germany, we'll be doing a collaboration with the world famous classical violinist Daniel Hope! We’re also thrilled to be invited back to the Wheatland Music Festival in Michigan, a fantastic 3 day multi genre festival that is now celebrating it’s 50th year. Details and ticket links below.
